A vocation level 6 or better Magick Archer is very effective against the powerful BBI enemies.

The techniques, however, can get very sophisticated so, for those who want a simpler interface, Magick Archer is a very handy vocation. The Mystic Knight has very powerful traps that allow the vocation to triumph over superior enemies without exposure to undue risk. Note: When I first entered BBI, I employed the Mystic Knight vocation. If your XBox live friends have played the game, their pawns will be available to you at no cost. One way to compensate for your low level is to recruit high level support pawns. You will not be at that level long because the rewards are lucrative and you will advance quickly. Nevertheless, if you have good ranged skills, you should be able to begin your explorations before level 30. If you are at a low level, your pawn will caution you that the enemies are tough and it is advisable that you are at least level 70 before taking on BBI. For example, you will see notifications at the load and save screens.

At some point, after you have done a fair number of Cassardis quests (through Deeper Trouble and Dying of Curiosity), the game will start suggesting you go to BBI. You get there by talking to a lady who stands at the end of the Cassardis pier at night.

Good voice acting and facial expressions are a must in my bookĬamping might be out of scope for this current project but i'd definitely like to go there in the future.Getting there: BBI is available once you have free movement. >wandering pawns join a fight if it breaks out near them you can designate various formations like line, square, wedge I kinda want actual commands like telling them to stop moving (so they don't follow me and break boxes) so i'm thinking of doing a more command-oriented system like however i'm realizing that getting this kind of dynamic machine learning to function properly and smoothly is still a challenge for AAA in the current year and as a 1MA i don't want to create a bungled AI that self-trains wrong as a joke. Thanks for the feedback anons, this is a lot to think aboutĪs this anon mentioned, i was (and still am) definitely interested in implementing a fully dynamic learning-AI that would adapt to the player's combat style. a naturally grown pawn is most likely going to be too retarded for their own good

it's too easy to end up matching certain inclinations with certain vocations and end up with a completely useless pawn, unless you go out of your way to use elixirs. The bad aspect of it is how nebulous the AI training actually is, and how inconvenient it is to have your pawn become actually helpful. "this is the pawn that was raised by someone else in the world" is a very unique feeling hiring other player's pawns and having your pawn hired by other players makes it all feel a lot more real. The second best part of the pawn system is the online aspect of it. the variety in ways your pawn can behave in battle helps make them feel unique the fact that they're mostly retarded helps create a sort of bond between them and the player, because you want them to succeed and every time they do something right you feel proud, like a parent.

The best part is that the pawn is almost like your child, you create this companion and watch them grow.
